November 25, 2020
As the Holidays are upon us, I wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving. I also wanted to thank everyone who attended our remote Awards Ceremony and Presidential Symposium and apologize to those who could not enter the webinar. We are posting the event on our SBN website, so please feel free to join in the festivities, even if after the fact. And Congratulations again to our Frank Beach Award recipient, Stephanie Correa!
On a separate note, I want to remind everyone who has not done so already, to please renew your membership in the society. I know that for many, the reason to retain your membership is to attend the annual meeting. Keep in mind that the long-term health (financial, social and scientific) of the society will be sustained with an engaged and committed membership. We are very hopeful that 2021 is a better year for all (how could it not be), and that we will be able to host our annual meeting in Atlanta as planned.
One final note, as you are thinking about gift-giving this holiday season, please keep in mind SBN and our Society’s awards, as targets of your donations. Most of these awards benefit our more junior members, the future of our society, so they are all “feel good” places to help out.
Again, my best wishes for a Happy Holiday.
